Dorothy Mae Perry

Dorothy “Mae” Perry was born March 31, 1955, to Marvin and Sammie Perry. She transitioned peacefully from this life at the age of 69 on Tuesday, March 18, 2025.  Mae, as she was affectionally known, grew up in Blossom Lane Acres with her brothers and sister.

Mae received her education through the Benton Harbor School System and proudly earned her G.E. D.!   She was employed by Blossom Lane and enjoyed her work there until she became physical disabled to continue. 

Mae received her Christian relationship at New Bethel and later became a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.  If you knew Mae…you automatically loved her!  She was a caring person that loved to spend memorable moments with family and friends.  She enjoyed her time by going to bingo, card games, and vacations…..and she loved to dance!  

 Mae leaves precious memories in the hearts of her children: Sons, Shelton Perry of Grand Rapids, MI, Marion (Stacey) Perry of Benton Harbor; and her only daughter:  Tanesha Perry of Harbor; 16 grandchildren 30 great grandchildren, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

She was proceeded in death by her parents:  Marvin and Sammie Perry; a sister:  Ruth Williams; and her great-grandson, Christian Davis.
