Doris A Hill

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Doris A. Hill, a beloved resident of Columbus, Ohio formerly of Benton Harbor, MI. Doris departed this life on May 17, 2026, at the age of 72.

Doris was born on January 26, 1954, in Vance, MS to the late Willie Mae Stokes and Johnny Lee Henderson. 

Doris lived a life marked by grace and purpose, touching countless hearts throughout her years. Her memory will be cherished by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Doris is survived by three children, her daughter Yalonda Mims, her sons, Charles Hill Jr. and Timothy Williams; (14) fourteen grandchildren; (20) twenty great-grandchildren; (1) one sister- Lashonda Campbell; (1) one brother -Eddie L. Stokes;  (1) one aunt, Elizabeth Chandler, (1) one uncle Jimmy Chandler and a host nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. 

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, her grandparents, Janie McNeil (grandmother), Willie Williams (grandfather), Ann Williams (grandmother), Tan Henderson (grandfather); her aunt Elizabeth Henderson; her sister, Joyce Henderson and her brother, Roosevelt Henderson. 

A Memorial Service to be held at a later date.
