Donquel D. Johnson

Donquel Dewone Johnson., (35) born September 10, 1986, departed this life on Friday, December 17, 2021. He was the first child born to Sandra Drake-Gordon and Randy Johnson Sr.   He was born in Benton Harbor, Mi, and resided in Indianapolis, IN. After graduating from Benton Harbor High School in 2005, Donquel worked various jobs with the most current job at Alfa Laval.

Donquel loved being with his family, he was the life of the party and enjoyed laughing and having a great time. He was overprotective of his mother, children, and sisters. He cherished the relationship they had with each other.  Donquel loved to cook and eat, creating his own master dishes, as well as talking trash while he cooked. 

Cherishing his fond memories: he leaves his devoted and loving mother Sandra Gordon; his father’s Randy Johnson and Keith Gordon; his mom/ grandmother Nelter Christian; his sons, Dezmin Galaske, Jayden Myles and his daughter Kh’Myra Johnson; his sisters TiKeisha Gordon (Steven Atkins) Saani Gordon, Darsheika (William) Coleman; his brother’s, Javonte McFarland and Allen Ford; his God Mother Waynette Jones; his god sisters Keema Jones and  Dreea Jones; his PaPa, Rev. R. Chester Gulley and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends. 

Donquel was preceded in death by his brother Randy Johnson Jr., Uncle James E. Drake; Maternal grandfathers David Drake Sr., Rev. H.C. Christian, and his other grandmothers Mary Gordon and Estella Drake-Gulley.
