Donna was born on July 30, 1958, in Benton Harbor, MI to Florence Hill and John Malone. She accepted Jesus Christ at an early age. Though she was baptized as a child, she was baptized again by Pastor Jay Haynes just days before her transition.

Donna, a beacon of warmth and kindness, will forever be remembered for her unparalleled hospitality. Her doors were always open to family members seeking shelter, a reflection of the generosity that defined her.

Throughout her career, Donna found joy in the realms of hospitality and, ultimately, discovered her true passion in retail. Her professional journey was a testament to her unwavering commitment to making others feel welcome.

In her vibrant youth, Donna reveled in the joy of dancing and socializing, creating cherished moments with friends and family. Her home was a hub of happiness and occasional hosting’s of lively gatherings.

Donna's favorite pastimes included the thrill of bingo, the artistry of crochet, and the joy of collecting elephants, always with their trunks pointed upward—a symbol of good luck.

Above all, Donna found immeasurable joy in the company of her grandchildren, weaving a tapestry of love and laughter that will endure in their hearts forever.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents Florence Cooper and John Malone, 2 brothers, James “Mann” Pierce and Clinton “LT” Pierce, sister Brenda Pierce, 2 sons Calvin Pierce and Anthony Pierce and daughter Yolanda Pierce.

Donna is survived by her husband, Freddie Dancer, 2 sons, Charles Pierce Sr. and Jonathan Thomas Sr., a daughter, LaDonna Morgan, 3 sisters Lily Ferguson, Betty Pierce-Phillips, and Joann Pierce (since deceased), 1 brother Robert Pierce Jr., an Aunt Lenna Longs and 6 grandchildren, Takera Pierce, Khyra Kimble, Miracle Henry, Charles Pierce Jr., Aiyana Pierce and Jonathan Thomas Jr., along with a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

As we fondly remember Donna, let us celebrate a life well-lived—a life defined by love, generosity, and a spirit that touched the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the warmth and joy she so freely shared with the world.
