Donald D. Crafton

Donald Crafton Sr., better known as Dee Cee, was born November 6th, 1966, to R.C. and Bernice Crafton in Chicago, Illinois. Donald was a hardworking, God-fearing man who loved his family and friends. Donald made everyone feel like family. He was the life of the party, and a good time was guaranteed to be had if he was in attendance. He had a smile that could light up any room. He was always a phone call away for those he loved. Donald enjoyed taking his boat on the lake and catching a ton of fish, it was one of his favorite hobbies.

On Sunday's, Donald loved to cook big meals and invite all his loved ones over. It truly brought him pleasure to keep a tradition his mother started going. On August 1st, 2020, he married his beloved wife Yolanda Gray Crafton. Donald transitioned on June 1st, 2026, at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph Michigan surrounded by those he loved and those who loved him.

He will forever be missed, and he'll forever remain in our hearts. He fought a long battle and now he can peacefully rest. Though our hearts are heavy and a piece of it is broken, he's no longer suffering.

Donald was preceded in death by: his father R.C. Crafton, his mother Bernice Crafton, his daughter Ja'meisha Crafton, his sisters Barbara Crafton and Christine Carter, his niece Shamika Crafton, and his nephew Marcus "MO3" Johnson. He leaves to cherish his memory: Wife Yolanda Gray Crafton, Children; Donald Crafton Jr., Dontrail Crafton, & Khloee Miller, Stepchildren; Terica Williams & Jamill Futrell, Siblings; Ella Louise Harris, Lawanda Keeton Wright, Ronald Crafton, Paris(Tommy) Jackson, & Chandra Crafton, Grandchildren; Dontrail Crafton Jr., La'trail Crafton, & Jayceyon Crafton, Stepgrandchildren; Draya aka Sheisty, Deandre, Deshia, & Ariya, Godmother Ruby Stevens, Godbrother Melvin "Inch" Stevens, Godsister Ebony Stevens, Special nephew Demetrius Crafton, Special nieces; Tenisha Crafton, Jazzmine Crafton, & Kyarea Crafton, Special cousins; Ira Ward & John Whistnant, Special daughter Shalonda Flowers, Special brothers; Keven Berry(best friend), Joe Williams, Arthrell Threets, Maurice Broadway, Nate Williams, Earbie Mays, & Don Lee, along a host of: nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, & friends.
