Derrick Devon Clay was born January 25, 2003, in Benton Harbor, Michigan to the surviving parents; Sonseeahray Bates (mother) and Derrick Clay (father).
While completing his Senior year at Cedar Lane High School in Niles Michigan, Derrick’s work ethic led him to seek employment at the Burger King restaurant in Niles, Michigan where he worked responsibly. Derrick was a young competitor that enjoyed playing sports, listening to music, video games, and special times at family gatherings.
Derrick departed this life on November 10, 2020, at the Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Derrick was preceded in death by his sister Derrinesha Clay, Grandmother Sally Clay, Grandfather Kenneth Bates.
Derrick leaves to cherish his memory by his sisters Sonderricka Clay, Derrimesha Clay, and brothers Derrick Clay, Errick Clay, Demarcus Clay, LaDarius Clay, LaDerrick Clay, Derrick Clay, Grandparents Corliss, and Leon Williams, Great Grandparents Calvin, and Pat Brown.
