Denise Michelle (Lewis) Seuell

Denise Michelle Lewis-Seuell, affectionately known as “Niecey”, was born on April 4th, 1974, in Benton Harbor, MI to Lathiree Lewis. She passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 9th, 2024, at her home. 

A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, February 9th, 2024, at 11 am at Israelite Missionary Baptist Church, in Benton Harbor, MI—with a visitation taking place one hour before the service. 

Denise united in marriage to the love of her life, Marchal Fitchjearl Seuell, who she affectionately called “Baby”. To this union, one child was born.

In 2020, Niecey and “Baby” relocated to South Bend, IN where she resided until her passing. With a hustling mentality, drive, and determination, Niecey could accomplish whatever she set out to do. Her favorite past time were going out to eat, playing cards, going to the casino, and enjoying her family. 

She will forever be cherished in the hearts of those she loved and who loved her. Her husband, Marchal Seuell, 13 children, 15 grandchildren, and 4 step-children. Four sisters: Bertha Larmore, Bertha (LeAndre Sr.) Archibald, Ernestine Lewis, all of Benton Harbor, MI, and Arneise Lewis of Grand Rapids, MI. One brother, James Howard of Pennsylvania. Additionally, she will forever be cherished in the hearts of her nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Lathiree Lewis, and grandmother, Della Pollard.
