Delton Williams (89) was born July 19, 1931, in North Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Elbert Williams and the late O.C. (Thompson) Gilkey. He relocated to Benton Harbor, Michigan in 1978 from Wabash, Arkansas.
Delton Williams professed his life to Christ at an early age in Arkansas. He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church located in Snow Lake, Arkansas. He was a Mason and a Deacon.
He enjoyed playing and coaching baseball, cooking, fishing, and most of all he enjoyed family and friends.
Delton is preceded in death by his wife Rosetta (Davis) Williams and life-long companion of over 50 years, Georgia Lee Jenkins; daughters Cynthia Ann Williams, Libby Ann (Williams) Jefferson, Thelma (Gray) Zigler; son Fred Ike Williams; brothers, Ray Philmon Black, Louis Edward Gilkey; and sister Ella Rene Butler.
He leaves precious memories in the hearts of his loved ones to cherish forever; daughters, Ellen Pamela Williams, Sharron Kay Jones, Kim Diana Mount, Magnolia Odom, Maryland Ann Williams, O.C. Williams, Linda Atkins (Andrew); Son Willie Odom (Denise), Charles Odom (Deloris), Shelby Watson (Candie), Lardell Williams, and Louis Williams (Marinelle); sisters Anna Lois Robinson (Glen Robinson), Altha Lorice Block, Wanna Joy (Block) Anderson, and brother Rev. P.H. Gilkey; a host of Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and Great-Great Grandchildren and other relatives and friends to celebrate his life.
