David Daryl Robinson

David Daryl Robinson, 59, departed this life on July 19, 2020, at his home in Indianapolis, Indiana where he had resided for several years.  He was born at Mercy Hospital on July 4, 1961, in Benton Harbor to Ernest and Mattie Hunt Robinson. The family home was on Miller Street in the “Little Italy” section of the city where they had resided for nearly 50 years.  Just as his older siblings, David attended Henry C. Morton Elementary School, Benton Harbor Junior High School, and would graduate from BHHS with the class of 1980.  Go Tigers!

David had always loved learning and truly valued his education.  He attended Western Michigan University and also worked at Bibco, Inc.  In 2010, he moved to Indianapolis and enrolled at Brown Mackie College while working at Baylor Hospital.  He was proud to graduate in 2014, with an Associate of Science degree in Business Management.  A movie buff, David was also a sports enthusiast who greatly loved the music of the ’80s and smooth jazz.  He regularly enjoyed communicating with his friends and loved ones on Facebook and could be quite entertaining.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Mattie Robinson, two brothers, Ernest, Jr. and Nathaniel, and three sisters, Caroline Jones, Dinah Robinson, and Brenda Taylor.

Left to cherish wonderful memories are sisters Betty Bowman (Robert, Jr.), Renee Williams, Patricia Robinson, and Kimberly Robinson; sister-in-law Dora Robinson, and special nephew Tony Jones along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

David was greatly loved and will be deeply missed by friends and family.
