Daryl McClinton Obituary

Daryl E. McClinton was born on August 11, 1968, the youngest child born to the union of Mark and Johnnie McClinton. Daryl affectionately called “Heavy D or Uncle Daryl” was a lifelong resident of Benton Harbor and a proud graduate of Benton Harbor High School class of 1986.

Daryl loved the Lord and was baptized at an early age by his grandfather Pastor L. C. Reed. He was a man of faith who knew no problem was too big for his God. He was a true servant and loved to be found working in the church, he was a member of The Chapel under the leadership of Pastor Phil Bubar and also helped his brother whenever he could Pastor Mark McClinton Jr., of Break Through Ministries.

Daryl gained his wings, Monday, March 9, 2020. Daryl leaves to cherish his memories, 4 brothers, Ray McClinton, Jerry (Regina) McClinton, Mark (Ruthie) McClinton of Benton Harbor and Michael McClinton of San Diego CA. 4 sisters, Sylvia Brown, Indianapolis, IN, Loretta Razor, Diane Jones and Charlotte Jones of Benton Harbor. His special grandchildren DeVawen and Noah Nolan and G. DeAnthony Govain, 5 uncles, 5 aunts, and his many nephews, nieces, cousins and very special friends.

Daryl was preceded in death by his parents, Mark Sr. and Johnnie McClinton, maternal grandparents L.C. Reed and Lula Mae Reed, paternal grandparents James and Willie Mae McClinton, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
