Darrel Davel Leonard was born May 21,1960 to the union of the late Kenneth Leonard and Almetta (Sampson) Leonard.
Darrel affectionally known as “Street” was an entrepreneur. He had a business called “Street Wear” where he sold clothing wear. He also sold watermelon, green tomatoes, and other variety of things.
Darrel transitioned from this earthly form to his heavenly form on November 10, 2024, at Riveridge Rehabilitation Center in Niles, MI after his battle with cancer at the age of 64.
He leaves to cherish his memories with his son, Jarrell Williams of Benton Harbor, MI; his mother, Almetta Leonard of South Bend, IN; 5 sisters: Ivy (Reco) Bland of Jacksonville, Florida, Teesa Parson of Stevensville, MI, Dorian Leonard of Benton Harbor, MI, Chardonnay Leonard of Texas, and Darniesha Leonard of South Bend, IN; 3 brothers: Quincy Leonard of Jackson, MI, Everett Leonard, and Darcy (Angela) Leonard of Indianapolis, IN; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles; and a “special” friend, Brenda.
Darrell is preceded in death by a son; his father, Kenneth C. Leonard; 1 brother, Danny Calvin; maternal and paternal grandparents.
