Clint Hunter Jr., known to many as “Bo” was born March 3, 1952, in Crawfordsville, Arkansas to the union of Clint Hunter Sr. and Freddie Mae Hunter. He graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1972. While in high school his favorite sport was baseball and he wanted to become a professional baseball player. He moved from Crawfordsville, Arkansas to Benton Harbor, Michigan in 1973. Upon moving here, he went on to fulfill one of his dreams and tried out with the Detroit Tigers.
He met his now lovely wife Mae in 1980. They were married in 1982. From this union, their daughter Shadara Renee Hunter was born, and they raised their now deceased son Derrick Tyrone Hunter together. 11 years later they were blessed with their foster daughter Janna L. Ridgel.
He worked for Bendix Corporation for many years and also during this he became an entrepreneur in A.L. Williams which is now known as Primerica Financial Services. Each year he obtained several promotions and became SVP which led to his retirement at Bendix in 1993. Clint and his lovely wife ran their own office and led their team called the “Hunter’s Region” within Primerica Financial Services and were very successful. Clint was a Jack of all trades and took pride in everything that he did. He was known to be one of the best carpenters in the Benton Harbor-St. Joseph area.
