Claude Edward Purdiman Sr. was born May 16, 1949, in Cairo, IL to Eugene and Sadie B (Hudson) Purdiman. He departed this life on January 18, 2025, at his home in Elkhart IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Claude Purdiman Jr. and Lavelle Dugger, four sisters, Willie Mae Walker, Ruby Purdiman, Gloria Kyles and Ruth Ann Hall, and three sisters-in-law, Carol Jean Purdiman, Louis Purdiman, Delores Purdiman; his mother-in-law, Jessie Mae Wilson and his father- in-law, Weldon Bonds Sr.
Edward was a very hard worker, serving at Miller Telecom Building System for many years, until his illness. He was a loving and caring person, helping those in need. He loved spending time with family and friends, cookouts, and dancing. He will truly be missed by his friends and loved ones.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Delores Purdiman, a son, Terrance Purdiman, three daughters, Lamisha Dugger, Myshia Dugger, and Paula Dugger, and his siblings, Willie G. Purdiman, Dorothy Rollins, Linda Purdiman, Riley (Rosemary) Purdiman, Maurice (LaSonya) Purdiman, Claudell (Louis) Purdiman, and James (Delores) Purdiman, three Goddaughters, Miranda Greer, Antonia Pratcher, and Arshenee Pratcher along with a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
