Christopher Marcell Carter Sr.

Mr. Christopher Marcell Carter Sr. affectionately known as “Weezy F Baby” was born on April 2, 1974, to Doris (Carter) Greenberry and John Mullins Sr. in Muskegon, MI. He attended Muskegon Heights Public Schools in Muskegon, MI. Chris accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Greater Harvest Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Stanley Levy. He sang in the children’s choir. Chris was a guy who could make you laugh even when he made you mad. He showed love to everyone he met. Whenever you see Chris, he would often ask “I need some money and would continue to chastise you until you gave him what he wanted. Once he received what he wanted, he would leave by saying “Love you” and walk off swinging his arms on his way until he saw you again.

Chris has the most unique walk. No one can beat that walk. Chris would throw his arms behind his back and get to stepping and swinging his arms back and forth. His favorite hangout spot was “Mobil’s, Shell’s, or The Coop. He enjoyed playing the church drums, walking, eating, cracking jokes, most importantly babysitting his grandchildren and being around his family until he got on everybody’s last nerve. 

“To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord.”

Chris took that unique walk from earth to heaven on December 12, 2023. He will be deeply missed.

He leaves to cherish in his memories his children, Darlisha (Jonte) Kimbough, Trashena (Tommy) Clemmons, Shondrea Parker, Christopher (Lil Chris) Carter Jr., Keyla Carter, Corlandus Parker and Jarique Williams; (17) grandchildren; siblings, Tasha (James) Parker, Corneluis (Tamara) Carter, and Sharita Carter, Marques Hale and John Mullins Jr.; Great-grandmother, Doris Morton; great aunt, Alymnette Horton; special friends, Shon Watson and Kenny Rule; and his loving aka K-9 Remy and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Chris is preceded in death by his father John Mullins Sr.; grandparents, Gus and Mildred Carter, Rowen McBride, and Leonard Steward; (2) grandchildren, Charmaine Brantley, and Charvez Brantley Jr.
