Charles R. Campbell Sr. was born to Charles and Viola Campbell on August 5, 1944, in Chicago Illinois. He was born and raised in Chicago. He was a long-time resident of Benton Harbor Mi and Niles Mi.

Charles R. Campbell Sr was a hardworking man construction steelworker. He was a woodcraft man that loved to build, loved to shoot pools, read, travel, and be around his loved ones, especially his grandchildren.

He leaves to cherish his memories sons Charles Campbell Jr., Carnell R. (Eveline) Campbell, Carnell A. (Lashaundra) Campbell. Daughter Sherese (Stanley) Gilbert and Lena Campbell. Brothers Alex Campbell, Earl Campbell, EG Campbell. Sisters Catherine Forrest, Tina Campbell, Diane Williams, Marsha Campbell, Pam Gathright, Sylvia Crenshaw, Vicki Campbell, Yvonne Campbell. Also, a host of nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

Charles is preceded in death by his wives' Dorothy A. Campbell and Brenda Washington, his parents Viola Campbell, and Charles Campbell Sr.
