Cedric Dewayne Parson was born on June 10, 1958 in Cairo Illinois. Cedric Parson peacefully passed away on January 27, 2026. He was a beloved father, brother, uncle, and friend whose presence touched the lives of many.
Cedric loved dancing, listening to music and having a good time with close family and friends. Out of all his siblings he was the quiet strength. He never talked about what he endured but chose to keep things to himself. Cedric had a heart of gold when it came to helping others he always helped who he could when he could.
Cedric Parson worked in construction and as a grounds keeper at Dial -a-Ride for many years. Cedric was a faithful member of New Life Community Center under the leadership of Pastor Diann Singh. He will be remembered for his warm spirit, his deep connection to family, and the lasting impact he made on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Shirley Wilkins and James Parson and his two brothers; Honearl Criss and Baby James.
Cedric leaves to cherish his memory his children: his daughter, Felicia Lee; his son, Dewayne Keeton; and his son Daniel Brooks.
Cedric was one of sixteen siblings, including sisters; Joy Leonard, Cheryl Parson, Diana (Rupinder) Singh, Mechelle Parson, Tenisha (Lindell) Campbell, brothers; Anthony Parson, John Parson, Marvin (Lanalle) Parson, and James (Tessa) Parson.
His family also includes eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, a testament to the strong bonds he nurtured throughout his life.
