Life Reflections
“Let not your heart be troubled. Ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my father’s house there are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. For I to prepare a place for you.
And, if I go and prepare a place for I will come again and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whiter I go ye know, and the way ye know.”
Cecelia Ann Williams, affectionately called “Ann” was born January 17, 1953 in Benton Harbor, Michigan to the union of Willia Mae (Davis) Williams and D. L. Williams.
Educated in the Benton Harbor Public School System, Ann was a proud member of the class of 197l. After graduating high school, she attended Lake Michigan College. Ann was employed by Meijer for 22 years retiring in 2007 where she relocated to Detroit, Michigan. Being the eldest of 40 plus grandchildren to the late Issac & Velma Davis Ann naturally took on a nurturing roll to her younger siblings and cousins. She had a quiet demeanor, and a helpful spirit, along with being an avid reader.
Accepting Christ at an earlier age, she faithfully served under the leadership of the late Rev. M.H. Raspberry and the late Rev. M.P. McAfee of the New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church of Benton Harbor where she sang in the young adult choir.
Ann passed peacefully at home on January 3, 2024 in Detroit, Michigan.
