Catherine White Hall went to be with the Lord at home on Friday, May 20, 2022.
She was born to her proud parents, Sallie Haslip and Zeke White on July 25, 1931, in Andalusia, Alabama. After relocating to Brewton, Alabama, she began her Christian experience and accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior becoming a member of the Second Saint Siloam Baptist Church. In 1963 she moved to Lake Placid, Florida, and later moved to Benton Harbor, Michigan.
Catherine started her education in Alabama and obtained her GED in Benton Harbor. She was a dedicated employee as a Paraprofessional throughout Benton Harbor Area Schools. Catherine enjoyed cooking, sewing, caring for her children, and grandchildren, and loving on everyone she met.
In 1972 she became a member of Second Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Donald B. Adkins. Catherine was a Deaconess, and a dedicated member of the Gospel Chorus serving as President for many years. In addition to her vocal abilities, she was a member of the Progressive Missionary Circle and a Sunday School teacher for the Woman’s Class.
In 1978 she united in holy matrimony to Jake Hall. They were married for 29 years.
Catherine leaves to cherish her memories siblings: Daniel (Gwen) White, Colorado Springs, CO., Faye McFadden, Jacksonville, FL., Larry Hardy Sr., South Bend, IN., loving children Cathy Diann Mallard of Des Moines, IA., James (Anita) Mallard, Fairburn, GA., Clarence (Debra) Mallard, Stone Mountain, GA., Maude (Reginald) Osby, Benton Harbor, MI., Clarissa (Cornelius) McClendon, Niagara Falls, NY., Deborah (Alphonso) Porter of Brewton, AL., Katreka (Raynard) Tucker, and Sally Johnson both of Benton Harbor, MI., Demaccio Carter Sr. Indianapolis, IN. Bonus Children: Willie (Brenda) Johnson, Arcadia, FL., Diane Johnson McGee, Jacksonville, FL., Jack and Effie Hall, Lansing, MI., Grandchildren: Shawn, Vicente, Derek, Jonas, Leslye, Brandi Mallard N'Kosi Jones, Amber Simpson, Neilson McClendon, Natokie, Wade, Arzie Wade lll Shameka, and Andrew Giles Jr., ShaKenia Guidry, and Porsche Bowman. 40 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her late husband, parents six brothers, a daughter (Del Wade), and a bonus son (David Johnson)
