Cassandra Rimpson Obituary

Cassandra Gibson Rimpson, lovingly known as Pinkie was born January 12, 1981, in Chicago, Illinois to Franklin and Linda Gibson.

Pinkie was the fifth child born into this loving family. She attended Eau Claire High School in Eau Claire, Michigan where she graduated Valedictorian Class of 1999. During her high school career Pinkie authored a book “Hijo’s Dream.” as well as had a lunch meeting with the renowned author Maya Angelo.

In 1999 Pinkie competed in the Miss Benton Harbor pageant and was 1st Runner-Up and named Miss Congeniality.

Pinkie pursued higher education by attending The University of Michigan graduating with her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. After completing college Pinkie went on to serve with Habitat for Humanity in the Benton Harbor community dedicating many community hours helping others.

Pinkie was married to Anthony Rimpson on October 25th, 2003 . Together they created four beautiful children; Anthony Jr. (AJ), Anton (AK), Antonio (Tony), and Anjalique (Frankie/Lique-Lique).

Pinkie’s career aspirations led her to the Bridgerton Group of Grand Rapids, Michigan where she excelled as an Executive Recruiter and was a top performer for three consecutive years. She was blessed to work for such an amazing company.

Pinkie not only loved her family; she was deep in faith with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She enjoyed reading as many books as she could as well as journaling. Spending time with her family was the nucleus of her happiness. Her daily past time was spent with endless conversations with her sister Carolyn. Pinkie’s favorite saying was, “Just take it up with Jesus!” when in fact she no longer wanted to or felt the need to participate in a conversation that was not mentally stimulating. When she needed help around the house it was a regular occurrence for her to call “A BOY or BOYS” and don’t let her call twice…She prided herself in an orderly household, instilling discipline and guidance for the family.

She was preceded by her father Deacon Franklin Gibson.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her partner in life Anthony Rimpson,   sons Anthony Jr, Anton, Antonio and her daughter Anjalique; her mother Linda Gibson; her siblings Antoinette Williams, Angela Johnson; Carolyn Miller, Franklin Jr., and Amelia Gibson; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, special cousin Ernie Rimpson, many nieces and nephews, relatives, friends, and co-workers.

She maintained a strong faith in the Lord and continued to serve the Lord, until God proclaimed the work finished on Monday, April 5, 2021, at 7:30 am.

Pinkie you were loved and will be missed. Having completed your Angelic calling here on Earth, we know you are now our Angel in Heaven watching over us.

In loving memory,

“Pinkie, We Love You!!!”
