Barbara Hester (Moore) Jones was born 2nd with her identical twin sister Bobbie Esther on September 28, 1948, to Drew & Adell Moore, in Cleveland Mississippi.
Barbara, affectionately known as Bobby met the Love of her life Ivory Jones in 1965, they later married and been married for 54 yrs. to their union they had 4 girls and later gained 2 sons to call their own. She did her education in the Benton Harbor Area School district, she worked as a laborer at the Michigan fruit canners then moved on to various jobs. The best job of all was building up her family and asked for nothing in return. During her last days, she sat with her daughters and told them to “just be good daughters to me and that would be good enough.”
She loved cooking but enjoyed being cooked for even more from her family.
Barbara was a long-standing member of St. Mark Baptist Church since 1980 under the Leaderships of Pastors Coleman Gray, John L. Price, and currently Pastor Donald Green, she was in the Gospel Chorus for many years until her health started to take a decline.
Barbara leaves cherished memories in the hearts of his loved ones: (4) Daughters: Darlene Jones, Doris Jones, Donna (Terry) Wilson, Sharon (Eugene) Smith. (2) Sons: Frederick D. Jones, Jermaine (Jasmine) Jones, (16) grandchildren, (6) great-grandchildren, (6) Sisters: Luerether Kiser, Willie Mae Ware, (twin sisters) Leona Moore & Levolia Moore, Jeanette (Louis) Williams, Juanita (Earl) Mimes.
A host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Barbara is preceded in death by 1 daughter, Doris Jean Jones, (both Parents) Drew and Adell Moore, (2) sisters: Her identical twin Esther Watkins, Election Faye Jordan, (5) brothers: James (Buddy) Moore, Lloyd Moore, Drew (June) Moore Jr., Joe Moore, and Nathaniel Moore.
