Barbara Broach Obituary

Barbara Jean Broach embraced the Lord’s Hand peacefully, while surrounded by family on August 28th, 2020. She had been a loving devoted mother and grandmother as she lived life joyously everyday, living life to the fullest, and loved being with family and friends. God fearing as she was, treated everyone the way she wanted to be treated, and truly blessed she was.

Born August 18th, 1939 in Birdsong, Arkansas, to her parents, Bennie and Desiree Davis, later relocated to Benton Harbor, Michigan, where she graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1958. She then went on to receive an Associates Degree in Business at Lake Michigan College, also located in Benton Harbor, MI. Barbara worked at Whirlpool Corporation for 10 years and then Beacon Specialized Living Services for 17+ years, as a Supervisor, until retirement in 2004. She was a member of New Jerusalem Church in Bangor, MI for the last 6 years.

Barbara married Willie James Broach and relocated to Covert, MI, having 3 children Michael (Paula) Broach of Caledonia, MI, Mitchell (Eva) Broach of Portage, MI, and Michelle (Robert) Miller, of Covert, MI. Also with this union are Ernest Broach, of Benton Harbor, MI, Cheryl Broach of Chicago, IL, Deborah (Robert) Broach-Warford of Hammond, Louisiana, Nieta (Jacques) Loubeau of Chesapeake, Virginia, and Tammy Briggs of Benton Harbor, MI. Barbara and Willie Broach shared their beautiful home that She designed and her husband built for over 47+ years.

She leaves to cherish her memories: Her Husband, Willie James Broach, her son, Michael (Paula) Broach, Her Daughter, Michelle (Robert) Miller,Daughter-in-law Eva Broach, Step children: Ernest Broach, Cheryl Broach, Deborah(Robert) Broach-Warford and Nieta (JacQues) Loubeau. Grandchildren: Trina (Abel) Cuellar, Quinton Broach, Ra’Ven Miller, Jessica Broach, Jalen Broach, Alyssa Broach and Raymond Miller, Her siblings: Mildred (Joe) Love, Maxwell (Debra) Davis, Ricky (Regina) Davis, Larry Davis, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many beloved friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, brothers John Bennie Davis and Lionel Washington, her son Mitchell DeAndre Broach, and stepdaughter Tammy Briggs.
