Avery Lewis

Avery Lewis, age 36, passed away on September 20,2024 . Born on May 8, 1988, in South Haven Hospital, son of Vern and Denise Lewis, Avery was a true car lover from the start. He graduated from South Haven High School in 2006, and went on to marry Erica, the love of his life, on January 15, 2016. Together, they built a loving, blended family that was everything to him. Avery is survived by his Wife (Erica Lewis) and siblings Vern Dranell Lewis Jr, Cameka Knighten, Jamykal Parnell Lewis and Isabella Rae’Ann Lewis and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Avery was a mechanic, and he worked hard every day, always putting his all into everything he did. Whether he was fixing cars or helping out a friend, he was reliable, tough, and never backed down from a challenge. Hard Headed but full of heart, he was the kind of guy you could count on no matter what.

Above all else, Avery was a great father to Zamarra Lewis and Zarya Lewis, and a proud step dad to Radrekio Crowley Jr, Destiny Crowley, and Lorenzo Brown. His family meant everything to him. No matter what life threw his way, he kept pushing forward with a smile on his face, always cracking jokes, laughing, and bringing joy to everyone around him.

Avery will be remembered as a loving husband, a dedicated father, and a man who lived life to the fullest—whether he was under the hood of a car or sharing a laugh with his family. He leaves behind his wife, Erica, and their five children, who will carry his memory in their hearts forever.
