Antquanetta D. Dawkins

Antquanetta “Netta” Dawkins was born on July 11, 1979, to her loving parents, her mother, the late Patricia Ann Livingston, and her father Anthony Dawkins in Berrien Springs, MI. Netta, departed this life to gain her Heavenly wings on September 27, 2021, at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph.

Netta was kind, funny, and a bit of a drama queen, yet she knew and understood the value of hard work and education. Netta was a graduate of Lake Michigan College, receiving her associate degree in General Studies in 2017. She was employed at Tri-County Head Start as an assistant teacher. To know Netta was to love her. She never had friends, everyone she met was family. 

Netta leaves to cherish in her memory her two sons: Patrick Dawkins and John “LJ” Buford, Jr. Her father Anthony “Carolyn” Dawkins. Sister and best friend LaPreisha McPike. Two brothers: Antonio “Tia” Dawkins, D’uane Dawkins. Her Grandmothers: Alberta Davis and Velma “TwoMama” Dawkins. Her five grandchildren: Zaniyah, Patrick Jr., Jazaria, Izla, and Kyrie. Aunts: Angela Williams, Anita Dawkins. Special cousins: Letoya, Danelle, Deleisha, Apollonia, and Denise. A special friend John Buford. A special daughter Tamera Blackwell. A host of cousins and extended family.

She was proceeded in death by her Mother Patricia Livingston.
