Anthony Brooks Obituary

Anthony Brooks, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully January 11th, 2025. He was the fourth child in his family and was married to Willette Moore. Together, they had one cherished daughter, Antoinette Brooks.

Born on January 20th, 1948, he was the fourth child born to Ray and Emma (Davis). Anthony's life was marked by his dedication to his family and his unwavering love for those around him. He was employed by Auto Specialist in Benton Harbor, and worked in the lab. He was intelligent and gifted with many talents, which he used to enrich the lives of those he cared about. Anthony skills included construction work, and he was highly inclined with electronics. He cherished the freedom of the outdoors and had a deep passion for fishing. Anthony found peace and joy in nature, often going fishing with his favorite cousin, Allen. In their minds, they were the original, David Crockett and Daniel Boone!  On any given day, he could be found fishing at the St. Joe River and often camped there for days, enjoying the tranquility and beauty of the outdoors. Anthony also enjoyed riding his 10-speed bike with a group of friends known as the Pack Rats. This group, consisting of 15-20 friends, and they rode from Benton Harbor to Covert and South Haven, creating cherished memories along the way.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Willette, his daughter, Antoniette, his parents, Ray and Emma, and three brothers, Johnny Ray, Earl, and Bobby Brooks.

He leaves to cherish his memory of one grandson, Ivory Brooks, a great-grandson both of Kalamazoo, MI, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Anthony will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and the joy he brought to everyone he met. His memory will live in the hearts of his family and friends.
