Angel Marie Scott

Angel Marie Scott affectionately known as “Dust” was born August 1, 1978, at Mercy Memorial Hospital in Benton Harbor, MI as the first-born child to the union of the late James Butler and Earline Scott.

Angel accepted Christ at an early age at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Emery M. Varrie I.

Angel was a proud 1996 graduate of Coloma High School. Angel continued her education with honors in pursuit to become certified nurse. Her educational journey also including law and childcare. 

Angel was currently employed by Royalton Manor; where she loved and cared for the residents and her co-workers. She always did her best to show that she cared.

Angel enjoyed spending time with her family, playing bingo, cooking and preparing meals for her family. “Dust” will always be remembered for her loving heart, her bright personality, her witty sense of humor and the refreshing energy she brought into any room she entered.

At the young age of 47, Angel unexpectedly passed February 7, 2026.  She leaves to cherish her memory, 3 daughters, A’Liecia Donyell Marie Wade,  Areyanah Rochelle Ke’Shae Scott, A’Laizah Dominique Lashae Scott; a bonus baby, Imani Monae Hardnett; her momma DeLinda Calhoun Butler, her grandmother Gloria Calhoun; brothers Jerry Scott, James Scott, Darius Robinson and Jamarius Butler; her sisters, Tamisha Whitelow and Jamira Moss; God sisters; Toniqua Hureskin, and Ariel Wright; 5 grandchildren; Ah’Mere Scott, Aiden Gunn, Alana Wade, A’Nyla Carter and Nazier Walker. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, Godrelatives, and friends. 

Angel was preceded in death by her parents James Donnell Butler and Earline Elnora Scott, grandparents; Kay Frances Scott, Virginia McQueen, Francis Willis, Monroe Willis, Roderic Scott and Frank Calhoun. Aunties; Jeanette Walker, Lillie McDugan, Carolyn Wyatt, Roslyn Hines. Uncles; Hiram Scott, Charles Butler, Duronamo Butler and Larry Butler.
