Adrieann Denise Williams

Adrieann Denise Williams (Punkin) was born on February 16, 1959, in Detroit, Michigan, to Joseph H. Lewis and Beverly A. Lewis. She attended Benton Harbor High School and was a proud member of the Tiger class of 1977. Following high school, Adrieann enrolled at Lake Michigan College.

In 1977, Adrieann married her high school sweetheart, Turan Williams. She worked at JCPenney as a department manager for over twenty years. During that time, she formed lasting friendships with Rita Burton Matthews, Sharon Broyles, Karen Calahan Bennett, and Patricia Burton. Adrieann also spent over ten years working at Pier One Imports, where she made friends with Kay and Carol.

Adrieann was preceded in death by her husband by her husband Turan Williams; her mother, Beverly Ann Lewis; her mother-in-law, Betty Jean Williams; her maternal grandmother, Tauheedah Hassan; her paternal grandmother, Mabel Lewis; and her brother, Aaron Lewis Sr. She also lost several family members, including her maternal aunt, Glenda Scott; maternal uncles, Clifford Scott Jr., Stanley Kenneth Scott, and Alphonso Scott; paternal uncle, Charles Lewis; paternal aunt, Stella Lewis; sister-in-law, Dorine Jean Williams; Wilbert (Pede) Wilkson; and her two nephews, Deterrius Coates and CeVontae Stewart, as well as Brooklyn Beverly.

Adrieann leaves behind her loving son, Turan Williams Jr. (Benton Harbor, Michigan), and daughter, Kennisha Relaine Williams (Mishawaka, Indiana). She is also survived by her father, Joseph Lewis; sister, Celestine (Charles) Coates; and brother, LaMonte Lewis, all from Benton Harbor, Michigan. Additionally, she leaves one granddaughter, Anisha Breshanelle Bird; two grandsons, DeCarlos Darnell Hureskin Jr. and Jourdin Turan Hureskin; and a great-grandson, Sean.

Adrieann's extended family includes Aunt Mikki (Ifraj Threatt) from Cleveland, Ohio; Rachel (Daryl) Hudson; Rasheedah (Michael) Richerson; Terry, Tracey, and Twana Scott; Tyron Scott and her sisters-in-law, Carmen Lewis, Gloria Osby; Delores Satterfield, Delilah Banks, Diane Williams, and Denise (Missy) Williams, as well as brother-in-law Price Charles Alleem. She also leaves behind numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, including Sharice and Sa’Ryiah Henson, Aaron Lewis Jr., Montell Coates Sr., Beverly and LaMonte Jr. Lewis, Carisa and Cortni Stewart, Isis Smith, John Beason III, Shakina Burton, Mikhail Patterson, Johnathan Huddleson, Bianca McKinney, Tiffany Hampton, Diana Young, and Simona Banks. Her friends Doreen Henson, Shaleta Stewart, Antoninette Washington, Reglynn Beverly, Chablis Beverly, Wally Beverly, Rita Rube, Carol, Virginia, Joanne Jennings Robinson, and many more will also cherish her memory.
