Aaron Nathaniel Lewis was born February 9, 1964, in Benton Harbor Michigan to Joseph H and Beverly A Lewis.
Aaron attended Benton Harbor Area Schools and was a proud member of the Tiger class of 1982. Aaron had a love for sports that began at a young age, and he participated in many over the years. Football was his passion, earning him Lake Michigan Athletic Conferences All League Offensive team quarterback, All American Football quarterback, and an athletic scholarship to Texas Southern University, which he chose from a list of prospective colleges and universities where he was also a quarterback.
His love for sports continued after college with him coaching baseball and football. He was a Michigan and Lions fan but most enjoyed working with youth even after coaching ended.
Aaron recently celebrated his fifteenth anniversary with Brembo North America in Homer Michigan where he was the lead foundry supervisor and in continuous improvement.
Aaron was also a former Mason and Shriner. He will be missed by everyone whose hearts and lives he touched.
Aaron was preceded in death by his mother Beverly A Lewis, maternal grandmother Tauheedah Hassan, paternal grandmother Mabel Lewis, maternal aunt Glenda Scott, maternal uncles Clifford Scott Jr, Stanley Kenneth Scott, and Alphonso Scott, paternal uncle Charles Lewis, paternal Aunt Stella Lewis and his two nephews Deterrius Coates and CeVontae Stewart.
Aaron leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife and best friend of 17 years Carmen Lewis of Jackson Michigan, One son Aaron N. (Janae) Lewis Jr of Ohio, One step-son Givonte (Savannah) Henderson, father Joseph (Joann) Lewis, maternal Aunt Ifraj Threatt of Cleveland Ohio, two sisters Adrieann Williams and Celestine (Charles) Coates and one step-sister Quenetta (Jamie) Parker, one brother LaMonte Lewis and one step-brother Wade Bradley all of Benton Harbor Michigan. He also leaves a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and one great-great nephew Sean, and a very dear friend Salvatore Terrasi of Jackson Springs North Carolina.
