Wanda Suttles Obituary

Wanda Suttles 65 of Benton Harbor, departed this life on May 4, 2019, at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph, MI.  Arrangements are pending at this time.

Wanda Suttles was the only child of Wilma Jones born on September 25, 1953, in Morrilton, Arkansas. Wanda graduated from Menifee High School in Menifee, Arkansas.  Wanda confessed her faith in Christ at an early age. November 29, 1980, Wanda married the love of her life J. T. Suttles and raised seven children.  Later Wanda and her family moved from Morrilton, Arkansas to Benton Harbor, MI.  Wanda was a member of Brotherhood of All Nations COGIC under the leadership of Bishop James Atterberry Sr.

Wanda loved her family, friends, cooking, and singing.  Singing was her way of life. She has sung with several Gospel quartet groups throughout her life from Arkansas to Benton Harbor, MI.
 
Wanda made her transition to Glory at Lakeland Medical Center on Saturday, May 4, 2019, surrounded by her family.
 
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband- J. T. Suttles; four daughters Dorothy Suttles, Tanya Powell, Deloris Jackson (Marcus), and Linda Suttles; two sons Larry Coleman (Melinda) and Jon Suttles (Heidi); one daughter-in-love Alicia Miller; three God-children Terrell Jones, Tondalaya Carter, and Andrea Dyson; 20 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends.

Wanda was preceded in death by her loving mother; son Shaw Suttles; and her grandparents Ed and Cassie Reed.
