Rosie (Reece) Magee, 94, of Benton Harbor transitioned from this life on June 9, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.  Services will be held Friday, June 16, 2017 at Martin Temple COGIC, 730 Waukonda Ave, Benton Harbor. Visitation at 11am and services at noon. Burial will take place at Crystal Springs Cemetery, Benton Harbor.
Rosie was born Feb 17, 1923 in Helena, Arkansas to Reuben and Emma Reece.

She retired from BH Engineering in 1985 after 32 years of service.

She is survived by her one and only loving son, Edward Kirby Sr. of Benton Harbor; five daughters, Denise Gaither of Benton Harbor, Debra ( David) Mitchell of Kalamazoo MI, Dorothy Horn , Rebecca Hooks and Regina Hooks all of Benton Harbor; 9 grandchildren; Tammy (Rosevelt) Hawkins, of Orlando FL, Hope Lewis , Kim Campbell, Apirl Campbell & Edward Kirby Jr. of Benton Harbor, Ray Kirby of Watervelet MI, Duncan (Bridgett) Kirby  of Grand Rapids, Douglas Kirby of Benton Harbor and Sam Kirby of Watervelet MI; four generations of grands: 28 greats, 73 great great and 15 great great greats; special grandson, Marcus Horn; sister in Law, Shirley Magee; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Rosie was proceeded in death by her parents; daughter, Texanna Hooks; husband, George Magee; 9 brothers and 4 sisters; granddaughters, Angela Burris and Gale Kirby;great granddaughter, Destiny Campbell; daughter in law, Mollie Jean Kirby.
