James Johnson Jr. heard the master say” well done thy good and faithful servant” on December 16, 2017 at Bronson Hospital in Battle Creek MI.  Services will be held on Saturday December 30, 2017.  Funeral Service  begins at 11:00 am with visitation starting at 10:00 am which will be held at Robbins Brothers funeral home 204 S Fair Ave Benton Harbor, MI 49022.

James Johnson was born on December 2, 1957 in Ponchatoula LA, to the union of Dorothy and James Johnson Sr. James was known for his love of people and anywhere he went he would make anybody laugh and he was  a known avid sports lover.

He leaves to cherish a very special friend of 26 yrs. Karen Reid, nine children, James Swift, Donshae Evans, Pernell Reid, Khamisi Reid, Jeromiah Reid, Maurasia Reid, Sean Swift, Nautica Swift, Osheaona Reid, Felicia Reid, Tiara Whitfield.

He leaves three brothers, Lorenzo (Roxane) Johnson, Sherwin(Glenda) Jackson, Sean Johnson, four sisters Erika (Ellery) Rayford, Shelia (Luke) Malbry, Loretta(Gregory) McCalope, Keisha Johnson, and Chandra Johnson.  He leaves 31 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his mother  and father Dorothy and James Johnson, 2 sisters Antionette Johnson, and Arie Johnson.
