Eric "Rick" Ford

Eric "Rick" Ford 66 of Eau Clair, MI transitioned on January 27, 2019, surrounded by family in Kalamazoo, MI.  Legacy farewell services are pending at this time.

Eric “Rick” Ford of Eau Claire, MI was born on September 23, 1952, in Chicago, IL to Arthur & Blondie Ford who both proceeded him in death. He was the eldest sibling of 8. He graduated from Eau Clarie High School in 1970. He joined the Air Force and served for 4 years and was honorably discharged in April 1975. 

Eric Ford retired from for the United States Post Office after 18 years of service. He was the owner of E & E Transportation Service. He was well known for his love of hunting, fishing, football, and his annual birthday celebrations.

He transitioned from earth, but not our hearts, on January 27th having given his all in his fourth battle against cancer.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife-Ellarene; 7 daughters-Karnowla, Erika, Jewkeetia, Makeya, Raylene, Michelle & Denise; 23 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; faithful dog-Roxy and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 2360 Townline Rd, Benton Harbor, MI with visitation starting at 10:00 am followed by services at 11:00 am.  Burial will take place at Crystal Spring Cemetery. Repast will follow after services.
