Emma Rushin Malone 91 transitioned on January 6, 2019, at home surrounded by family. Legacy farewell services will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2019, at New Paradise Baptist Church, 267 S Crystal Ave, Benton Harbor, MI 49022 with visitation starting at 11:00 am followed by services at 12:00 noon.

Emma Rushin Malone was born on September 14, 1927, in Memphis TN. to the late Sim & Martha Rushin
A TIME TO LOVE
Emma fell in love and married Rivers Malone. The father of 3 son’s, Julius R Malone, Clinton Malone, Frankie L Malone from a previous marriage. Emma & Rivers moved to Benton Harbor, MI in the late 1950” s and started a loving family of four children. Three son’s Joseph Malone, Alvin Malone, Leslie Malone, & a daughter Sandra (Malone) Wright.
A TIME TO WORK
Emma Malone Graduated at the tops of her class and was rewarded, valedictorian. Emma started in the working field as an employee at Municipal Air Port in Memphis TN, & later was an employee for Win Schuler’s restaurant where she also retired from. She was a worker for her lord and savior Jesus Christ and a devoted wife for over 70 years.
A TIME TO WORSHIP
Emma excepted Christ at an early age, as she continued with her journey following Christ. She united with Progressive M, B. church under the leadership of Dr. Daniel E Cook, & Pastor James O. Childs. She was one of the Mothers of the church and a long-term member.
A TIME TO MOURN
Emma Rushin Malone was called to her rest on January 6, 2019, surrounded by her loved ones. She leaves precious memories in the hearts of her (4) sons Julius (Ann) Malone Milwaukee Joseph (Erma) Malone Alvin (Sharon) Malone Leslie Malone (1) daughter Sandra (Woodrow) Wright all of Benton Harbor MI (13) grandchildren (16) great Grandchildren (14) great, great Grandchildren a host of nieces and Nephews (2) godchildren Brenda (Joe) Peet & Danny (Senethia) Cook
She was preceded in death by her husband Pastor Rivers Malone, mother Martha Rushin, and father Sim Rushin (4) sisters (3) brothers2) sons Clinton & Frankie Malone (1) granddaughter Altrikia T. Malone.
