Douglas Hammond

Douglas Hammond 59 of Benton Harbor transitioned on January 29, 2019, at home peacefully in  Benton Harbor.  A celebration of life will be held on Friday, February 8, 2019, at Robbins Brothers Funeral Home 204 S Fair Ave, Benton Harbor, MI 49022 with visitation starting at 11:00 am followed by services at 12:00 noon.

Douglas Hammond was born January 6, 1960, in Berrien Springs, Michigan. He was born to Willie Mae Ware and Edward Earl Hammond. Douglas departed his life peacefully in his home on January 26, 2019

He was baptized at Ebenezer Baptist Church by Rev. Walter L Brown. Douglas received his formal education in the Benton Harbor school system. He enjoyed life as a quiet peaceful man, with a few close friends and associates.

Douglas was preceded in his death by his brother Larry L. Ware and his sons: Douglas Jr. Dale and Allen Dale

He leaves to cherish precious memories: His mother, Willie Mae Ware of Benton Harbor; His brother Ozell Moore; His sister, Dorothy (Ed) Potts; Michael (Barbara) Ware; His brother, David (Pam) Ware; Rosiland (Leroy) Robinson; His sister Dolly Johnson; His brother Charles McCaleb; His brother Larry Johnson; His sister Denise Charlotte; His sister Stacey (Danny) Bradley; Five aunts  and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
