Caroline D. Sanders

Caroline D. Sanders, 62 of Benton Harbor departed this life on May 23, 2019, at home. Arrangements are pending. 

Caroline Denise Sanders was born on March 21, 1957, to Phillip and Ella Mae Washington in Benton Harbor Michigan.

Caroline was full of life and always kept you on your toes. She had such a big presence and bold personality that she demanded attention when she walked into a room. She enjoyed shopping, fashion, and had an eagle eye for a sharp pair of heels. Caroline was called to glory on May 23rd, 2019.

Caroline is survived by her two sons, Chester Sanders and Martise Washington of Benton Harbor Mi., three daughters, Felicia Sanders, and Tejah Washington, both of North Carolina, and Tiyunnia Washington of Benton Harbor, Mother Ella Mae Washington, Brothers: Phillip C. Washington, Darrel Dewayne Washington, and Glen Washington. Sisters: Erma Kelley and Lisa Washington. She also had nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

 She is preceded in death by her father Phillip Washington, sister Pamela Brooks, and brother Gary Washington.
