Beverly Ann (Fulton) Hersey

Beverly A Hersey 69 of Benton Harbor, departed this life on September 15, 2019, at Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI.

Beverly Ann Fulton-Hersey was born September 28, 1949, in Benton Harbor, MI to the late William and Fannie Fulton. Beverly graduated from Benton Harbor High School with the legendary class of 1967 and went on to attend Lake Michigan College. She worked as a Senior Administrator at the City of Benton Harbor’s Water Filtration Plant for over 32 years. She worked faithfully and was efficient in whatever she took on. She later joined in holy matrimony to James Hersey for many years. Beverly was a mother to the motherless and she LOVED spending time with her family especially her daughter LeRhonda also is known as Roo-Roo.

Beverly decided to follow Christ at an early age under the leadership of the late Rev.W.E Ellis at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. Beverly was a faithful member of Second Baptist Church in Benton Harbor.

On September 15, 2019, Beverly went to be in the presence of her Lord and Savior to rest. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters LeRhonda "Roo" (Andre) Dotson of Cedar Hill, TX, Ronata (Charles) Henderson, Veronica Cotton, Jamie Henderson, Laya Fields; sons Donnell, Sebastin Fields, and  James Fields; sisters, Delores (Vincent) Gowens of Seattle, WA, Janice (Andre) Nelson of Kalamazoo, MI, Lorraine (Norman) Young of Grand Rapids, MI, and her brother William (Etta) Fulton of Benton Harbor, MI; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends Jerri Gavin and Mary Andrews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Hersey, and her loyal and furry companion Sasha.

Funeral services will be held at noon Friday, September 20, 2019, at Second Baptist Church, 600 Donald Adkins Dr., Benton Harbor, MI 49022 with a The family hour at 11:00 a.m. Final arrangements entrusted to Robbins Brothers Funeral Home, Benton Harbor.
