Willis Richmond Obituary

 Willis Roosevelt (Bubba) Richmond was born on July 27, 1927 in Osceola, AR. He was the second oldest child of thirteen born to Willis Henry Richmond and Katie Nell Waters.  Willis accepted Christ at an early age and song in a gospel group The Morning Doves with family members.

 Willis moved to Michigan in 1951 and joined Progressive Missionary Baptist under the leadership of the late Rev. Daniel Cook later in life in joined St. Mark Baptist church under leadership late Rev. John L. Price.  In 1961 he married Earlola Ervin and they had two children Pamela Head and Brian Richmond.  In 1978 Willis married Georgia Roseburgh Alexander and two sons were born, Rodney and Dennis Alexander.    Willis loved to make people happy and would help any one he met if you met him, he would be a friend before you left.  Willis worked at Auto Specialist for over 32 years Willis loved to work on cars with his cousins and talk on the phone to family and friends and take care of his Great grandson who he adopted as his son Armarrion.  God called him home on April 4, 2024 at Corewell Health Center surround by family and friends he was 96 yrs old.

He was preceded in death by his wife Georgia and his Parents and six brothers T.J Richmond, James Allen Richmond, Leslie Richmond, Pastor Larry T Richmond Sr, Pastor Curtis Lee Pointer, and Melvin Richmond Sr and four sisters Everliner File, Dorothy Richmond, Juanita Richmond June Taylor, son Brian Richmond and stepdaughter Joyce Hartfield.

Willis leaves to cherish his many memories three sons Rodney (Carol) Alexander and Armarrion Alexander both of Benton Harbor and Dennis (Dawn) Alexander of Westland, MI.; daughter Pamela Head of Benton Harbor; two brothers, Bobby Richmond and John (Minnie) Richmond of Benton Harbor; sister Betty Flemmings of Chicago IL; sister in laws, Annie Lunzy of Benton Harbor, Dorothy Richmond, Betty Richmond and Carolyn Pointer of Osceola, AR and Louise Richmond of Jonesboro AR; brother-in-law Ernest Rimpson of Benton Harbor; Step- daughters Debra and Mildred Alexander of Benton Harbor; step-son Leroy Alexander of Benton Harbor; a daughter Jenerald Richmond and son Willie B Richmond. He loved to talk with his niece Gladys File whom he thought of as a daughter and being pampered by his God daughters Bernice Wright and Tia File. He also leaves a host of nephew, niece cousin and friends and grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
