as a fellow Air Force Veteran, I wish to express my deep sadness in your lose. I am a member of the VFW honor guard in Traverse City. I have the greatest honor when I can present the flag to a fellow airman. I wish I could come to the service and say my goodbyes to Willie in person, but am unable to make the trip. Know in your heart the I will be remembering Willie. Even though we didn't serve together, we are for ever tied to the brotherhood of the US Air Force. God Bless you Willie. Aim High.

My deepest sympathy to the Mayes and King family. Willie was my next door neighbor growing up in Eau Claire. I will always remember his kindness and gentle spirit. Willie was a man my two brothers and I looked up to. May he rest in peace.
