Patricia Ann Ward, 66, was born in St. Louis, on March 14, 1951, to the union of Emmett E. Ward Jr. and Clemmie L. Jackson and transitioned from this world to meet her Lord and Savior on Aug. 24, 2017.

She leaves to cherish her memory her only child, Antonio L. Ward of Kalamazoo; two grandchildren, Alisha D. Surratt-Ward and Olyvia S. Ward of Kalamazoo; her siblings: Irene (John) Woodley, Evangeline Denise Thomas, Karla Roseburgh, Adah Randolph, Preston Ward, Clifton Ward, Christine Gavin, Emmett (Donna) Ward III and Kevin Ward; her aunts and uncles: Nellie Nichols, Jodie (Ernestine) Jackson and Polly Stoval; her special friends: Penny Freeman, Debria Young, Clara Jean Labarre, Jacqueline Burrell, Debra Veal and Lenora "Me-Me" Williams; and a host of family, friends and numerous goddaughters!

She was preceded in transition by her parents, Emmett E. Ward Jr. and Clemmie L. Jackson; sisters, Diana Marie Johnson and Judy Burton; aunt, Lottie Coleman; and uncle, Peter Jackson.

A celebration of life memorial celebration will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017, at Our Center for Better Living, 717 E. Napier Ave., Benton Harbor, MI 49022. Repast will follow after ceremony at Our Center for Better Living. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Fellowship Outreach Ministry, 2525 Territorial Road, Benton Harbor, MI 49022, and/or Our Center for Better Living, 717 E. Napier Ave., Benton Harbor, MI 49022.
