Newton Griffin

Newton Griffin Jr. 75 of Benton Harbor heard the master call on Saturday February 17th, 2018 and entered his eternal rest at Hanson Hospice center in Stevensville Michigan. Farewell Celebration will be Friday February 23rd, 2018 at Greater Community Christian Church 870 Nate Wells Sr. Drive in Benton Harbor Michigan with Visitation at 10 am and Service at 11 am .

 Newton was born May 25th, 1942 to the union of Newton Sr. and Beatrice griffin. Newton graduated from Benton harbor high school in 1961. Newton was very much active in the school choir. Newton attended lake Michigan college and western Michigan university. Newton later served in the U.S. Army.

As years went by, Newton work for Auto Specialties company for 19 years and at Bosch manufacturing company for 25 years in the payroll department.

He leaves to cherish his memory: mother Beatrice king, three sisters Algera (Harold)Johnson of Detroit, Janet Jackson and Terrie Griffin of Benton harbor. One brother Gail (Debra)Griffin of Benton Harbor, Sister in law Caralyn Griffin, a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Newton was preceded in by his father, Newton Griffin Sr and brother Marion Griffin.
