Kyre Pierre Hull, supportive brother, loving son, dedicated friend. Born Dec. 3, 1995, to Maggie Ricks and Ellis Hull III, Kyre Hull was a bright young man with an even brighter future. His life ended too soon on June 10, 2017, when he was tragically gunned down in Benton Harbor, as an unsuspecting casualty in the crossfires of senseless street violence.
Even to his death, Kyre was a light to the world and a joy to many. While his last act of kindness, giving a ride to an acquaintance, ended in his eventual demise, his sense of caring and uplifting will be carried on by the loved ones that he leaves behind.
Kyre graduated from Benton Harbor High School Class of 2015. After studying aviation at MIAT in Canton, Mich., Kyre returned to Benton Harbor to work as a gifted lumber tradesman with his grandfather, Mitchell Williams, at M & W Tree Service. He aspired to become a successful entrepreneur.
He is survived by his mother, Maggie (Charles Ray White) Ricks and father; siblings: Kadari Gaines, Karon Ricks, Khalil Hull, Kobi White, Kadarius Hull, Corrina Hull and Kameron Hull; and grandparents: Barbara Ricks, Reba Dortch, Linda Williams-Jeffries and Mitchell Williams.
Kyre was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Ellis Hull II.
Services will be held Monday, June 19, 2017 at Second Baptist Church, 600 Donald Adkins Dr., Benton Harbor. Visitation at 11am and funeral at noon.
