Jonathan Daniel Jefferson transisitioned to heaven Friday, July 14, 2017 in Bay City, MI.

Jonathon, also known as "Blaze"  was born on November 21, 1979 to Danny McKenzie and Patricia Jefferson (Meeks) in St. Joseph, Michigan. He attended Stern Brownson Elementary and Benton Harbor High School. He continued his education at Lake Michigan College with his dreams of becoming a Lawyer.

Blaze accepted Christ at an early age and recently rededicated his life to God. He was affiliated with Second Baptist Church. He loved fishing, and was an avid sports fan (Broncos, Cubs, Lakers) and barbecuing.

Blaze leaves to cherish his fond memories, His loving mother, Patricia Meeks, Benton Harbor; four children, Jade D. Jefferson, Taj Carter, Taylor Jefferson, and Zion Jefferson all of Benton Harbor, Michigan; his niece Kenya Harris of Benton Harbor; his companion, Alisha Turner of Benton Harbor, Michigan; and fur babies, Bishop, Vega, Sox, Venetian whom he loved dear; one aunt, Harriet (Lee) Brown of Chicago, Illinois;  one special sister, Devona Gillespie, of Benton Harbor, Michigan; special cousins, Kandy Anderson, Arlington, TX and Lee Brown, Jr. of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, special brothers, Donnie Page,I of Indianapolis, DelRicoh Gillespie of Benton Harbor; along with a host of relatives and friends. 

 He was preceded in death by his brother Spencer Jefferson, two uncles, Henri Greer and Elliot Greer, maternal grandparents,  Ocy and Mathron Jefferson and paternal grandparents.
